Welcome To “Women In Mining Africa”!
You are now a member of one of Africa’s first crowdsourcing investment clubs, which is uniquely tailored for women in Africa, and women anywhere else in the world, who wish to invest in socially and environmentally sustainable mining opportunities on the Continent of Africa.
Membership Benefits
1) Exclusive Events
Your Annual Membership Fee of USD$1000.- includes FREE participation in our Annual “Women In Mining Africa” (WIMA) Conference, to be held in a different country in Africa every year. All you have to do is cover your own transport and accommodation costs. Refreshments and main meals are included in the 3-day conference.
In addition, you will receive invitations to participate in other exclusive WIMA networking events and mining investment presentations, some of which will be free of charge to attend, while others may have a fee payable to cover expenses.
NOTE: If you are keen to arrange WIMA events in your own area, and have indicated this on your Membership Payment Form, we will be in touch with you to start working on this together with you as soon as possible!
2) Investment Newsletter
Every month you will receive our “Women In Mining Africa” email newsletter, sharing updates on mining projects we’re investing in.
Currently, we are pursuing mining offtake opportunities in Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Every month we will explain the progress on each of these offtake opportunities, and will also introduce any new mining offtake opportunities.
The instrument we work through to enable these offtake opportunities is “Young Africa EXPORT”.
NOTE: If you are interested in becoming a mining commodities trader in your country or region, you are invited to work with us through “Young Africa EXPORT. We will explain this opportunity in detail in every monthly newsletter.
3) Monthly Pay-Outs
We plan to invest at least 50% of our income from your Annual Membership Fee to join WIMA, in our “Young Africa EXPORT” investment bank account on a fixed term of 12 months.
These funds from fees paid will be used by us as security for bank guarantees to mining companies, who can supply product to the international buyers with whom “Young Africa EXPORT” has secured at least 12-month offtake agreements.
Depending on the nature of the offtake agreement, there will be a healthy Return on Investment (ROI) on this investment, which Young Africa EXPORT will be sharing with you, as a member, through a monthly pay-out.
Right now, we have an opportunity that will enable a 30% p.a. (thirty percent per annum (year)) interest pay-out to our WIMA Members. This means that, if we invest 50% of the income we receive for your WIMA Membership, we place USD$500.- as our investment into the Young Africa EXPORT investment account. This can then generate a ROI of USD$150.- per year for you! We therefore then choose to make a monthly payment of USD$12,50 back to you, totalling USD$150.- over the first year.
If the Offtake Agreement is extended for another 12-month period, we will continue to share the ROI with you on a monthly basis, based on your Year 1 Annual Membership Fee paid.
As we continue to pursue more Offtake Agreements, in Year 2 we expect to again be able to offer you similar participation in ROI. We will keep you updated as we go along!
REMEMBER: YOU are not the one investing, WE are using 50% of the income generated through the Annual WIMA Membership Fees paid by WIMA members, to invest. But we then SHARE the ROI with you, as a THANK YOU for joining as a Member of WIMA!
4) “Private List” Opportunities
As the “Young Africa DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION” nonprofit identifies new opportunities in the mining sector, we will share these opportunities with you through our “Private List” investment offerings.
These opportunities involve choosing to place some of your investment capital into the WIMA Trust, which is then given an opportunity to own a percentage of the new mine which the Young Africa DEVELOPMENT FUND is starting or buying into. In this way, you become a Beneficiary of the WIMA Trust, based on the capital investment amount you have made into the Trust. Your percentage of capital in the WIMA Trust becomes your percentage of shareholding in the mine and you receive a share of the dividends according to your percentage of capital as a beneficiary of the WIMA Trust.

As a paid-up member of WIMA, you will be invited to join our members-only “Women In Mining Africa” Facebook Group and WhatsApp Group, so that you may be in direct touch with your fellow WIMA Members and “Young Africa” Founder, Reinhild Niebuhr.
