“Invest In Loan Finance To Enable Infrastructure Development Across Africa”
Make An Impact Investment Into Africa’s Economic Infrastructure
And Earn Good Interest While Doing Good
A Faith-Based Financial Loan Fund
Young Africa FINANCE is currently being developed as a non-profit impact investment fund, which will be registered in Mauritius. Private investors and grantmakers will be invited to invest into the Young Africa FINANCE fund, and the capital received will be used to provide loans to enable the start-up or growth of businesses in which Young Africa INVESTMENTS has a majority shareholding.
The Young Africa FINANCE loan fund is modeled on the faith-based Lutheran Church Extension Fund, which is operated under the auspices of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in the United States of America.
Investors into the Young Africa FINANCE loan fund are welcome to make an impact investment into the fund, based on their commitment to the vision, values and objectives of the Young Africa VISION. There is no exclusion on the grounds of having to be a member of a particular church denomination: everyone is welcome!

Objective
Young Africa FINANCE is a non-profit impact investment instrument which aims to raise capital from investors across Africa and the rest of the world, with the aim to create a loan finance fund that can offer business, property development and infrastructure development loans, as well as student loans, to enterprises in which Young Africa INVESTMENTS holds a majority share, to social enterprises which are created under the auspices of the Young Africa FOUNDATION NPC, or to students who are graduates of the ACADEMY For A Young Africa NPC.
How Does This Work?
Young Africa FINANCE is a non-profit impact investment instrument, meaning that there are no shareholders. This makes it possible to offer loans to businesses, including private property and infrastructure development projects, at the very reasonable interest rate of 6% per annum, while investors receive a guaranteed interest rate on their investments of 4% per annum.
Young Africa FINANCE retains 2% of the interest paid by borrowers:
- 1% is set aside to cover any potential bad debt and
- 1% is used for fund administration costs, including marketing expenses and investment placement fees.
All investors can download a mobile app to keep track in real-time of the performance of any business or infrastructure development in which their funds have been invested.
Young Africa FINANCE aims to pursue a pro-active loan repayment approach – meaning, that a team of business specialists monitor the entities and individuals who have been granted a loan, in order to pick up any early warning signals of potential loan repayment defaults. These business specialists then engage in a process of working with the Board and Executive Managers of the entity that is facing a challenge, in order to find ways to mitigate the situation and turn-around the business or social enterprise, thereby keeping any bad debt at an absolute minimum.
Our Strategic Investment Focus Areas
Young Africa FINANCE only provides loans to build enterprises, social enterprises or infrastructure that forms part of the overall Young Africa VISION. Here are the six strategic investment focus areas:

Kindly note that student loan finance will only be available, once Young Africa FINANCE has built own capital reserves. Investors’ funds will not be applied to student loans.
Can I Apply For Loan Finance?
At this point the Young Africa FINANCE investment fund is still in its formation phase. We are estimating that the fund will be active in 2022 or 2023.
