Welcome to “Women In Mining Africa” (WIMA) – a unique opportunity to become active in the mining industry in Africa. This membership is open to women living in Africa, or to women outside of Africa who want to support sustainable mining activities in Africa.
Working through the Young Africa DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, a non-profit entity aimed at helping individuals and communities to develop their full potential, Young Africa INVESTMENTS identifies opportunities in the mining industry across Africa, then structures long-term offtake agreements between mines and international offtakers who wish to buy the mining products. But often, the mines need an investor to start producing their products for the international buyers. This is where “Women In Mining Africa” comes in: we invite women to become members in this “investment club” to help facilitate mining offtake deals all across Africa.
